Meet Miranda Leon, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Founder, Sound Mind Counseling and Consulting

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Sound Mind Counseling and Consulting. My work focuses on helping individuals, relationships, and organizations navigate stress, burnout, anxiety, and communication challenges that affect both well-being and performance.

Throughout my career, I have worked in healthcare, crisis response settings, and community-based programs supporting individuals facing high levels of stress and complex life challenges. This experience has shaped my belief that emotional regulation, effective communication, and resilience are essential skills not only for personal well-being, but also for healthy teams and organizations.

Professional Background

My clinical experience includes providing therapy, crisis assessment, and structured skills-based interventions for individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I have also contributed to program development initiatives and organizational improvements designed to strengthen support systems for both clients and staff.

Over time, I noticed a clear pattern: many of the struggles individuals experience—stress, burnout, communication breakdowns—are deeply connected to the environments and systems they operate within.

This insight led to the creation of Sound Mind Counseling and Consulting.

Organizational Consulting Approach

At Sound Mind Counseling and Consulting, evidence-based psychological principles are translated into practical strategies that help organizations strengthen employee well-being, communication, and performance.

This work focuses on identifying stress-related performance barriers and equipping teams with tools that improve resilience, collaboration, and workplace culture.

The approach includes:
Assessment & Needs Analysis

Each engagement begins by identifying key stressors, communication breakdowns, or burnout patterns affecting teams and organizational performance.

Skills-Based Training

Interactive workshops and leadership training focused on emotional regulation, communication effectiveness, conflict navigation, and stress management.

Psychological Safety & Team Communication

Strategies designed to strengthen trust, improve feedback conversations, and create environments where employees feel supported and able to contribute.

Burnout Prevention & Resilience Development

Evidence-informed frameworks that help teams manage workload stress, cognitive overload, and emotional fatigue in high-pressure environments.

Implementation & Sustainability

Practical tools and structured frameworks are provided so teams can continue applying these strategies beyond the workshop setting.

Our services draw from evidence-based therapeutic approaches including:
